At the beginning of a village and a step-up, all delegates are hosted by a local CISV family while the leaders and the staff spend the weekend together to prepare the camp. For this first weekend, usually the two Belgian boys go in one family and the Belgian girls go in another family. For village kids, there is a second family weekend midway through the camp. Children are no longer going with their Belgian counterpart but with a new friend from the camp.

There is no family weekend during a youth meeting as it is a shorter duration camp.

CISV Belgian family and friends are invited every year to host children during our Easter and summer camps.
