Seminar camp in Lembang, West Java, Indonesia
July 11 to 31, 2017
I can tell you for sure that these 3 weeks made my summer the best one ever. My CISV experience was not that extensive, because my last camp (and also my first) was in 2012 (Village), so I didn’t really know what to expect. I surely felt both nervous and excited to travel on my own to Asia!
The first week we had a couple of camp meetings to organize the weeks to come. Everybody was very open and there was such a nice atmosphere from the beginning. That really struck me. I really could be myself through the camp and I wasn’t expecting that. We immediately connected as a group.
At the end of the camp we were like a big family. I had a great time with everybody, which I think is pretty rare and I made some unforgettable friends/memories.
We also had some great activities altogether with very interesting conversations/debates including on Human Rights, that will stay with me for a very long time.
